GENERAL APPROACHES TO EDITING
Use Restraint-Although it can be tempting to crank your sliders to the MAX, subtlety can often be more powerful.
Do not crank the CLARITY up on every photo. Although some photos look awesome when the clarity is enhanced its not for every photo. Although it can be tempting to make every photo look super sharp, this slider can be effective when used to SOFTEN photos as well. Again, subtley.
Use Vibrance over Saturation most of the time. Vibrance is a more selective and subtle way to enhance colours. Saturation is very extreme and should only be used in very specific contexts.
